The Quran is the word of Allah for the guidance of humanity for all times and places. Allah SWT tells us in surah Al-’Qamar verse 17, “We have made it easy to learn lessons from the Quran: will anyone take heed? “. Qur’an Translation 101 is an introductory course that will give all sisters the opportunity to carefully read the translation of the Qur’an from Surah Al-Fatiha to Surah Al-Naas. Over the next 20 weeks, we will cover Juz 16-20. Each verse will be explained briefly by a traditionally trained teacher to provide students with an overview of the message of the Qur’an and to be able to reflect upon it. We will also explore topics and themes that are related to the Qur’an, from its virtues to beliefs and stories. Students will have the opportunity to build a deeper connection with the Qur’an and will gain personal and spiritual growthاِنْ شَاءَ الَّلهُ. This course is taught every week, alternating in person and online. The course is carefully designed to cover a small portion of the Qur’an every week so that students can manage and benefit, and it does not require any knowledge of the Arabic language.
